More detail on this person: HOT SPRINGS, Ark. Dennis Lee Pullen, 87, of Hot Springs, died Friday, July 29, 2016. He was born July 12, 1929, in Oregon, Missouri, to the late Frank Hurley Pullen and Martha Iola (Chance) Harvey.

Dennis was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a Senior Aviator. He did two tours in Vietnam, where he was awarded Bronze Stars and the Army Air Medal. After retirement, Dennis started a successful business in the construction industry. He was a Jack of all Trades and Master of Many Others. Dennis was a master modeler of remote controlled airplanes. He was also a master gardener and loved to hunt, fish, read and learn.

Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Pullen (Randall); sons, Frank Pullen (LaDonna) and Andrew Pullen (Linda); daughters, Anita Headrick (Dan) and Denise Pullen Guando; brother, Donald Pullen (Mary); 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

Mr. Pullen was an original over-on-the-boat Boxcar pilot at Fort Benning and Phu Loi - good friend of Jack Knotts and Josh Logan. He attended Boxcar reunions in 1996 in Reno and 1998 in Dothan/Fort Rucker.
