More detail on this person: Mr Homer J Or Pete Prevost HOMER J. PREVOST Daily Press (Newport News, VA) - Wednesday, November 27, 2002 Homer J. "Pete" Prevost Jr. of Fredericksburg died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at his home. He received The Distinguished Flying Cross and two Purple Hearts while serving two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1985 as a maintenance technician after 31 years. Mr. Prevost received a bachelor of business administration from Christopher Newport College in 1988. He was a member of the VFW and the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Assoc. Mr. Prevost was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Judith E. Prevost. Survivors include four daughters, Diane Marie Stewart of Montgomery, Ill., Laurie Ann Lauthers of Newport News, Sandra Prevost Shook of Newport News and Cynthia Lynn Davis of Lake Monticello; two sons, Brian S. Prevost of Orlando, Fla., and Michael J. Prevost of Hartwood; a brother, Robert A. Prevost of Springvale, Maine; and 15 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, P.O.
