More detail on this person: Mr. William (Bill) S. Perrin was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after 92 years of a long and full life. He was born in his childhood home in Tucker, GA to Tom and Doris Perrin. He grew up in Clarkston and graduated from Clarkston High School in 1948. He attended and graduated from North Georgia College in 1952, commissioning into the Regular Army. While in school, he met his future wife, Ms Gerldine (Jerri) Wolfe, and married on 4 Oct 1952. They were married for 69 years and had three sons, Mark, Miles and John. He had a career in the Army as an Infantry and Aviation Officer. He had combat tours in Korea and Vietnam, and served a tour in Germany in between. He was a Master Aviator and an Expert Infantryman. He was an exceptional pilot, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross in Vietnam, flying multiple helicopters and airplanes, mainly the Mohawk. He retired in 1980 and settled in Clarkston. After his Army service, he was involved in Real Estate, Securities, and Insurance. Most of his time was spent supporting Clarkston Baptist Church/Clarkston International Bible Church in various leadership positions. Bill was a Sunday School teacher, Deacon and the first Chairman of the Elders during the churches' merger with several ethnic churches. He was always involved in all aspects of the church, whether it was maintenance, committees or local city council meetings. Outside the church, Bill farmed a large garden each summer, enjoyed playing golf, and hunting. Bill and Jerri had a travel trailer which they pulled on many trips throughout the US, Canada and Alaska. Many of those trips were to watch grandchildren's sports games. Later in life as his activities slowed down, he was an advisor to the CIBC leadership, and enjoyed visits from friends and family. The family would like to express a very special 'Thank You' to Cerissa Ramos who provided loving care to Daddy Bill for the past several years. Daddy Bill loved her very much and considered her a daughter. We would also like thank Aveanna Hospice: Stacy-Ann, Kristy, Ashley, Presley and Mandy, for your support, guidance, teaching, and calming spirit as we cared for Daddy Bill these past few months. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine (17 Jun 2022), middle son Miles (Marjory) (25 Sep 2018), and brother Thomas E. Perrin (Jackie) (9 Nov 2019). He is survived by two sons, Mark (Annie) and John (Bianca), seven grandchildren, Nikki (Stewart), Katie (Weston), Karlie (Wesley), Mathias, Samuel, Gideon and Eli, and seven great-grandchildren, Mac, Perrin, Drake, Charlotte, Lila Ann, Mark Weston and Warren Swift. Family and friends visitation will be held at A.S. Turner and Sons on Friday, 10 May 2024 from 6:30-9:00PM. The funeral service will be held at Clarkston International Bible Church on Saturday, 11 May 2024 at 9:00AM. Internment will be at Melwood Cemetery.
