More detail on this person: William "Bil" and I met and served together at Ft Knox in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He and his wife Janet were our best friends there. Bil was an outstanding officer in every way but for some reason was caught up in the last RIF around 1974 or 1975. I still believe it was just because he had no college degree. Whatever the reason, I am sorry to have to report his passing in 2015. Here is his obituary from The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch. - Stephen Harper William J. Potter Jr., 72, of Powell, OH, died June 1, 2015. Vietnam veteran. Survived by sons, William (Kyle), Joshua (Melanie); three brothers; two sisters; and ten grandchildren. Family and friends may call June 13, 2015 from 3-5 p.m. at New Life Church, 3690 N. Stygler Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230.
