More detail on this person: Obituaries Las Vegas Review-Journal (NV) - Saturday, October 13, 2007 CANDIDO PANERIO Candido "Dinky" Panerio, 80, passed away Oct. 1, 2007, in Las Vegas. A U.S. Army World War II and Vietnam War veteran, he was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Honolulu, and had resided in Las Vegas for 17 years. He was a retired transportation superintendent from the Navy Public Works Center in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and a retired Hawaii National Guard major. He is a life member of VFW Post 1572 in Hawaii, a life member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and a life member of the Reserve Officers Association. He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughters, JoAnna Goo of Honolulu, and Charlene Sylva of Santa Nella, Calif.; sons, Craig Panerio of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Robert Panerio of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Private services were previously held in Las Vegas. Please, no flowers. Donations may be given to your favorite charities PANERIO, MAJOR CANDIDO ROSALES, 80 AND ANITA FREITAS PANERIO, 81 October 1, 2007 February 7, 2012 Formerly of Ewa Beach, Hawaii and Las Vegas, Nevada. A private committal ceremony was held on May 29 2013. They are preceded in death by their first son, Bruce James Panerio and survived by their children Joanna (Given) Goo, Craig (Jan) Panerio, Charlene (Dwayne) Sylva, and Robert Panerio, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Friends and family may visit their final resting site at the Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery in Kaneohe; Wall 1B, Niche number 207.
