Panska, 77, died on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2005, from natural causes at Village Square Nursing facility. Born in Cheyenne, Wyo., on Nov. 12, 1928, he lived in Carlsbad and had a Bachelor of Science degree in Linguistics. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and became a fighter pilot in Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1971. He enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, writing poetry and mountain climbing in Utah. Mr. Panska is survived by daughter Pamela; and granddaughters Virginia, Marguerite and Sarah.
