More detail on this person: Lt. Col Marvin Everette Peacock Lt. Col Marvin Everette Peacock, of Plantation, FL passed away on June 9, 2012. Marvin was born on April 11, 1931 to Marvin and Stella Crews Peacock in Jacksonville, FL. He graduated from Carson Newman College with a mathematics degree in 1953, completed Naval flight training and was commissioned as a Marine Corps Officer in 1954. Marvin served four combat tours in Korea and Vietnam, received 31 commendations, and flew every aircraft type the Marine Corps had in service during his 27 year military career. Marvin Is survived by Fleeta West Peacock, his wife of fifty-five years; his sons Everette, Steve, Greg, Doug; their wives and eleven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Lauderdale Yacht Club 1725 Southeast 12th Street Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 on Saturday from 2:00-4:00PM. Further funeral services and burial will military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.
