PERRYMAN, JR. Retired Marine Corps Colonel
February 7, 1933 - December 31, 2013 (Age 80)
He was a native of Washington, DC and a graduate
of the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, class of
1955.
He served three tours in Vietnam as a Marine
Helicopter pilot. He was awarded a Bronze Star,
Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross,
Meritorious Service Medal, two Legion of Merit
Awards and numerous other Citations and
Commendations throughout his career. He served
as Commanding Officer of HMX1 for President
Nixon from 1972-1974. He retired from the Marine
Corps in 1979 and was employed as a Project
manager for Advanced Technology, Inc. and
Northrup-Grumman Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Frances I. Perryman of
58 years and two sons, Jeffrey W. Perryman and
Glenn A. Perryman; two daughters-in-law, one
granddaughter, one grandson and two
great-granddaughters.
A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday,
January 9, 2014 at 1 p.m. to be held at Quantico
National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA
22172.
In lieu of flowers he requested that donations be
made to the Wounded Warriors Fund in his name.
