Pike February 3, 1945 - August 07, 2013 Smiths Station, AL- CPT Retired Jerry M. Pike, 68 of Smiths Station, AL passed away Wednesday, August 07, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Mr. Pike was born February 3, 1945 in New Albany, MS to the late Howard M. Pike and Pauline Whitehorn Pike. He was retired from Civil Service and the United States Army with 20 years of service. He was awarded the Silver Star, (2) Bronze Stars, along with a multitude of ribbons and other service awards, after he retired from Civil Service, he developed his own consultant business known as Soldier Systems Solutions in Smiths Station. Mr. Pike loved family time, cooking, grilling, sharing special times and watching NASCAR on TV. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Pike. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Shannon Pike of Smiths Station, AL, daughter, Heather Pike of Columbus, GA, father and mother-in-law, Larry and Pauline Shannon of Smiths Station, AL, numerous other loving family members and many friends along with his beloved pet dogs, Max and Kay Ci. A private graveside service with full Military Honors will be held Monday at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm EST at Vance memorial Chapel in Phenix City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project in memory of CPT Retired Jerry M. Pike.
