Piotrowski, 64, of East Aurora, a retired major in the U.S. Army Reserve and a vice president for small business lending with Fleet Bank, died Tuesday (Nov. 17, 1998) of Lou Gehrig's disease at Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga. Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Canisius High School and Canisius College. He served as a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War and retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a major in 1994. He served for many years in various capacities with Catholic Charities and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, East Aurora. Survivors include his wife, the former Phyllis Greene of East Aurora; a daughter, Leigh Ann Krol of East Aurora; his mother, Angeline of East Aurora; and a grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
