Poitras, 54, of Evergreen, Colo., and formerly of Fort Wayne died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, in Evergreen. The Fort Wayne native worked in cooling tower business and was a Vietnam War Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Veronica; stepsons Charles, Thomas and Bradley Waltman, all of Evergreen; his mother, Betty Poitras of Fort Wayne; brothers Thomas of Weston, Fla., and Roger of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Janet Ettensohn of Fort Wayne. Services were held in Idaho Springs. Arrangements were by Hegmann Funeral Service, Idaho Springs. Burial was at National Cemetery, Fort Logan. Information provided by the family.
