More detail on this person: Royce L Porter (Biographical information extracted from Quata June Porter's, wife of Ronald Porter, obituary.) Quata was born in Yuba, Okla. on March 8, 1939, to Thomas and Thelma (Sanders) Bowen who both preceded her in death. In 1954, she moved with her family to Carter, Okla. where she met Royce L. Porter. They married on September 1, 1956 and later moved to Stillwater where she graduated high school. Living the life of a military wife, the couple and their three children lived in and traveled to many places. She studied and learned Arabic alongside her husband at the Defense Language Institute in Washington, D.C. and was a member of the Officer's Wives Club. In 1976, Quata and her family moved to Lawton where she devotedly took care of her husband through an extended illness. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1982.
