More detail on this person: Allan was born on April 27, 1940 and passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Allan was a resident of Texas at the time of passing. After graduating from Brownwood High School in 1958, he attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where he played the trumpet in the Aggie Corp Marching Band and joined the ROTC. After college, he was commissioned with the United States Army and worked his way up to the rank of Captain, eventually serving as a medivac helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6 - 8 pm at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville. Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 10am at First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Adickes Addition. Memorial donations may be made to the Music Ministry at First Baptist Church Huntsville, HEARTS Veterans Museum or Boy Scout Troop #114 in Huntsville.
