Mr. Purdy was a 1959 graduate of Piqua Central High School and earned his Chemical Engineering Degree from Ohio State University. He was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam as a Helicopter Pilot. A service to honor his life will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating.
