Mike Sloniker wrote in March1998: Bob Powell, 128 AHC 1967-68 died last week. Powell is in a video I have that he made commerically called Vietnam War Stories. He stopped at a truck stop in Idaho last week, and dropped dead. Am asking for details. Probably heart attack. Funeral is this week, details to follow. I knew him thru the Nightstalkers of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Ft Campbell. He got a direct from warrant after the first tour, got RIF'ed in 73 as a Captain, came back as a CW2, retired as a CW4 and flew Hawks in Grenada in '83. Another top of the line fine American is gone physically, but his spirit will live on with me. He never complained.
