More detail on this person: Domenico Quilico, 79, a resident of Penrose, Colo., since the mid-1970s, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at the dream home that he and his wife built, shared their lives and eventually passed away in. He was retired from the U. S. Army. Dom was born on June 28, 1928, in Managua, Nicaragua, to the late Natalino Giuseppe and Zoila Digna Olivares de Quilico. He married Tommie Jean Moss on Jan. 26, 1952, in Topeka, Kan. Mrs. Quilico passed away in 2005. Chief Warrant Officer Quilico served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for over 25 years. He was a helicopter pilot for most of his Army career. He is survived by his children, Domenica Jeannie "Mickie" Quilico of Colorado Springs, Phillip Michael Quilico of Blue Springs, Mo., Maritza Jacqueline Mitchell of Wellington, Colo., Anthony Edward Quilico of France and Oscar Guillermo Quilico of Honduras. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Jean, Jacquie, Matthew, Stephen, Michael, Micaela, Talia, Shirah, Christina, Thomas, Denis, Byron, Oscar and Mildred; and seven greatDgrandchildren; and his cat. "Girl Kitty." Also surviving is his brother, Luis Eduardo Quilico; and his sister, Antonietta. He was preceded in death by his wife; and a sister, Aida Arant. Mr. Quilico enjoyed reading, writing correspondences, home repairs and his orchard at Campobello. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, Knights of Columbus, Italian American Club and the No Name Club. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Private interment will be held with honors at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Memorials in his memory may be made to St. Benedict's Parish, 622 W. Second St., Florence, CO, 81226.
