Quearry, 73, of Enterprise, Ala., died Friday, March 18, 2005, at his home. Born Sept. 27, 1931, in Bethesda, he was the son of Warner Evans Quearry Sr. and Hazel L. Reeves Quearry. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer-4 having served in Korea and two tours in Vietnam, for which he received several medals. He was a member of the Presidential Flight Detachment before retiring. He was parts manager of Averett Chrysler and Mitchell Nissan and worked for Flight Safety International. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6020 in Daleville, Ala. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Virginia M. Quearry; a son, Patrick Quearry of Enterprise; a daughter, Brenda J. Zelman of Homestead, Fla.; a brother, Warner Evans Quearry Jr. of Blytheville; a grandson, Kevin Zelman of Homestead; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Bruce Quearry. The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark, Ala., with Talmadge Butler, Jack Diggs and Ken Robillard officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with full military rites. Memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Box 311103, Enterprise, AL 36330.
