Redding, 53, of Gettysburg, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at his home. He was the husband of Michelle (Fankozzi) Redding of Gettysburg. Born Jan. 20, 1950, Daytona Beach, Fla., he was the son of the late Leonard and Eula Kennedy Redding. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a helicopter pilot with the 176 AVN Company. He later retired as a police officer having served in Daytona Beach, Fla., and Anchorage, Alaska. Surviving are three sons, Michael Redding of Iron Mountain, Mich., and Colin and Robert Redding, both of Gettysburg; three daughters, Cindy Taylor of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Jessica Redding of Tempe, Ariz., and Bonnie Redding of Mesa, Ariz.; three stepchildren; Cristina, Natalie and Michelle Sacco, all of Gettysburg; six grandchildren; one stepbrother, Patrick Murphy of Sheperdsville, Ky.; and a stepmother, Dale Redding of Louisville Ky. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. The Rev. Timothy W. Sadler will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
