Mr. Roberts, 53, died March 26, 2001, at Ft. Sanders ParkwestHospital. He was born on Sept. 9, 1947, to Elbert Burton Robertsand Barbara Ann Carlson Roberts. He was a native of Waukegan,Ill. He was a helicopter pilot and instructor. He was an Army veteranof Vietnam, serving as Chief Warrant Officer. He was a member ofthe NRA, Single Action Shooting Society, Smoky Mountain ShootistSociety, and Knoxville Power Squadron. He was a former participantof Club Dance. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother,Richard Alan Roberts. Survivors are his wife, Linda James Roberts; his son, WilliamMichael Roberts; his stepsons, Alan L. Bateman and Kenneth W.Bateman; his brother, Donald Roberts; and one niece and onenephew.
