More detail on this person: Michael Wayne Rinehart, 71, Tallahassee resident, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 7, at Big Bend Hospice after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born October 9, 1943, in Obion County, TN, he was preceded in death by his parents Sara Bizzle Rinehart and Charles Edwin Rinehart. Mike attended the University of Tennessee and Memphis State University. He served proudly in the Army from 1967 to 1970 and was most proud of the year he flew as a Dust Off pilot in Vietnam. He enjoyed sailing, drawing, reading, traveling and bird watching. He worked at the Florida Dept. of Insurance and Dept. of Agriculture and in recent years worked for North American Midway Entertainment. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Betty Wright Rinehart, his son Sean Rinehart of Tallahassee, his daughter Brandy Rinehart and grandchildren Parker Diaz and Sterling McGriff-Rinehart of Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law Don Wright and Richard Wright (Connie) of Camden, TN and cousins Jane Paschall and SuzeAnna Koontz of Union City, TN and Paula McCullough of Arlington, TN. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, at 1 p.m. at Culley's Funeral Home at 1737 Riggins Road.
