More detail on this person: Sir, I am writing you on behalf of one of your valued members, CW4(R) Thomas Richardson. I came to know Mr. Richardson, as my wife and I purchased his primary home in Savannah, GA. Thomas and his wife were compelled to sell the home due to his deteriorating health, having been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. The renewal for his dues arrived today, and I felt an obligation to contact you. Coincidentally, I too am an Army aviator, and had an instant connection with Thomas, and was sad to hear of his condition, which is believed to be linked with exposure to chemicals while in Vietnam. Thomas and his wife wanted to move to a home that would be more conducive to his reduced state. Sadly, he was not able to see it through and passed away due to complications with his disease. I wish you all the best and appreciate what you did to set the foundation of Army aviation that we fly upon today. Best Regards, NSDQ! -Wade Thomas was born on December 8, 1948 and passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. Thomas was a resident of Savannah, Georgia at the time of passing. In 1967 Thomas graduated from Mid Carolina High School after which he attended Georgia Military College, Richland Tech, and Fayetteville Tech In June of 1969 he voluntarily joined the Army and graduated from Flight School in June of 1970 at Fort Rucker in Alabama. His family has also asked that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the ALS Foundation of your choice, for those who feel called to do so. Joomla Templates by Joomlashack.
