More detail on this person: On October 12, 2016 Wayne "Lightnin" Resemius passed away from lung cancer at the age of 65. He grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and later ran from the cold and snow to retire in Marco Island, Florida. Wayne was a retired army Vietnam veteran helicopter pilot, and ran his business Custom Plastic Laminates.

He has left behind his beloved wife, Missy, and his three children, Gerald, Lucas, and Elise. Through his battle with cancer, Wayne remained faithful and trusting in God's grace and love. While God brought him to heaven much too soon, we take comfort knowing he is building Missy's dream home in heaven.

Services will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East , Naples, FL on Tuesday, October 18 from 5:00-8:00. Burial will be in Marco Island Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations made be made to the DAV (Disable American Veterans), or to Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, FL
