More detail on this person: Ben C. Rebman Jr. Florida Times-Union, The (Jacksonville, FL) - Wednesday, March 18, 2015 Jacksonville FL United States REBMAN Lt. Col Ben C. Rebman, Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family. Ben was born in McAlester, Oklahoma, on April 9, 1930, to Nan Laura and Benjamin Rebman. He served as an aviator for the majority of his twenty-three years in the U.S. Army, flying both fixed-wing and helicopters. Ben was an active member of Lake Shore United Methodist, the Army Otter-Caribou Association, Gateway Rifle & Pistol Club, the National Rifle Association, and the German American Club. Ben is survived by Ann, his wife of sixty-two years, his children Lisa Fisher (Barry), Dan (Tess), Kelly Robertson (Scott), and Clancy (Lisa), and his eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Scott. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Community Hospice. The viewing will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home on Blanding Blvd Wednesday, March 18, from 5:00 - 7:00PM, followed by a funeral service on Thursday, March 19, at 11:00AM at Lake Shore United Methodist. The burial will be at Jacksonville Memory Gardens with military honors.
