More detail on this person: Donald Edward Rose Graveside services for Donald Edward Rose, 63, of Belton will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 7th at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with Pastor Pat Dietrich officiating. Mr. Rose passed away Friday, September 30 at a local hospital. Donald was born in El Paso on November 2, 1947 to Hobert O. and Neva F. (Fletcher) Rose. He graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso. Donald enlisted in the United States Army on July 28, 1967 and retired on July 27, 1988 a CW4. During his time in the military he flew helicopters in Vietnam and had received two bronze stars. After retiring he went on to work with the U.S.D.A.O.I.G. retiring on March 25, 2000. On April 20, 1974 he married Virginia Ann Engle in Fort Hood. Donald and Virginia relocated to the Cen-Tex area in 1986. He attended UMHB and graduated with the class of 1992. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He is preceded in death by his mother, Neva Rose; and one brother, Robert Rose. Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Belton; his father, Hobert Rose of El Paso; two sons, Joe P. Rose of Belton and Robert D. Zuelke of Moody; one daughter, Sherry D. Rose of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; one brother, Thomas Rose of Williamston, Michigan; and one grandson, James Zuelke of Moody. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 on Thursday, October 6th at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Lone Star Chapter, 8111 N. Stadium Drive, Suite 100, Houston, Texas 77054.
