More detail on this person: Stanley Edward Joseph Rieck Stanley Edward Joseph Rieck Eastern Arizona Courier (Safford, AZ) - Wednesday, August 20, 2008 Stanley Edward Joseph Rieck Stanley Rieck was called home Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008. He was born June 17, 1944, in Preston, Md., to Harry Sr. and Eleanor Rieck and was baptized in the Preston Lutheran Church on July 9, 1944. He graduated from North Caroline High School. Stan continued his education at the University of Texas, Arlington, earning his BA in business administration Dec. 21, 1972.In November 1963, at the age of 19, Stan joined the Army in service of his country, becoming a helicopter pilot serving in Vietnam. On Oct. 2, 1992, in Decatur, Ala., Stan married Mary Ann. He began his career in construction as an ironworker, working his way up through the ranks to work in construction management. His work took him to many places, including Africa and Alaska. His hobbies were day trading on his computer, fishing, golfing, and reading and watching sci-fi. Stan will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary Ann; brothers Harry Jr. (Iris), Victor (Vera), John (Adrian); sisters Eleanor (Mike) Kardash, Esther (Jack) Smith; his stepson, Gary Perkins; as well as all his family members, friends and co-workers. We all know that Stan is now enjoying playing Frisbee with his beloved dog, Cisco. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 221 E.
