More detail on this person: Dale W. Rose, 80, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Cross Keys Brethren Home in New Oxford.

Born February 16, 1937 in Cass, WV, he was a son of the late Ruby Woodson and Gertie Elizabeth (Gragg) Rose.

Before retiring, Dale was employed at Egypt Farms, Baltimore Hydraulics and Bay Country Rental. Previously, he served his country for over 30 years in the U.S. Army, mostly as a helicopter pilot in the Maryland National Guard, retiring in 1987.

Dale is survived by four sons: Dale B. Rose and his wife, Lorena of San Diego, CA, Gregory Rose and his wife, Jing Jing of Patterson, CA, Jeffrey Rose of Baltimore, MD, and Dennis Rose and his wife, Angie of Hanover; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by six brothers: Arnold, Ralph, Lee, George, Dennis and Charles Rose; and two sisters: Stella Farish and Beverly Rose.

A memorial service celebrating Dale's life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5 Paradise Ct., Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dale's name may be made to the American Cancer Society ; 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 or to the United Services Organizations (USO), P.O. Box 96860, Washington, D.C. 20077-7677.
