More detail on this person: Tony Rezendes age 55 died 10 January 1989 from complications following heart surgery.

He serviced in the USMC prior to joining the Army for flight school. After Vietnam, Tony flew for an airline (don't know whether it was cargo or pax) in SE Asia.

He had his first heart attack in the Philippines. When he could no longer fly, he took a desk job in the aerospace industry. Subsequently, he had more heart trouble that required surgery. Back then hospitals checked for AIDS but not hepatitis.

Survivors: Wife: Jean (daughter said mother is dying of cancer); Daughter: Kimberly Locke; Son: Darrell. May have had another daughter?

I sent out letters encouraging flight school classmates and Vietnam buddies to attend a VHPA reunion. Tony's daughter Kimberly called and informed me that her father passed away on 10 Jan 89 during heart surgery, Tony was given blood that contained hepatitis B. His heart was 30% "dead" and although he survived the surgery his heart was not strong enough to overcome the effects of the hepatitis. Tony was a smoker.
