More detail on this person: SIDNEY D. ROSENTHAL Sidney D. Rosenthal (Dan) passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005 at his residence at Canyon Lake at the age of 64. He was born on Jan. 2, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Jacob L. Rosenthal and Dorothy Marie Kent Rosenthal. Dan later married his wife, Susan D. Cram Rosenthal on Nov. 11, 1957, in South Houston. During his professional career, Dan was a helicopter pilot for the United States Army. He took pride in serving his country during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel upon his retirement. Dan had many hobbies, some of which include traveling, race trucks, and antique cars. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan D. Rosenthal; daughter, Juleen Estelle Randall and husband, Randall; son, Ronnell David Rosenthal and wife, Shavon, all of Canyon Lake; mother, Dorothy Marie Kent Rosenthal, of Alvin, Texas; brothers, Richard Leroy Rosenthal and wife, Virginia, of Kansas City, Kansas and David Loyous Rosenthal and wife, Cindy, of Ingram, Texas; sister, Debra Adair Ritter and husband, Benjamin E., of Alvin; grandchildren, Shannon, Wayne, Kalyn, Jaselin, and Gabriel. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake. The funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home at Canyon Lake with the Reverend Jim Roberts officiating. Dan's cremains will be inurned at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Sidney "Danny" Rosenthal, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
