More detail on this person: Joseph William Rittenhouse Jr, 53 Death notices Abilene Reflector-Chronicle (KS) - Thursday, July 3, 2003 CHAPMAN--Joseph William Rittenhouse Jr., 53, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Topeka. He was born June 19, 1950, in Connellsville, Pa, the son of Joseph William and Helen Margaret (Bricker) Rittenhouse. He attended Dunbar Grade School and graduated from Connellsville Area High School in 1968. He attended Gannon College in Erie, Pa. He entered the United States Army in 1968. While in the Army, he attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Fort Rucker, Ala. Survivors include his wife, Becky, of the home; two sons, Joseph Raymond Rittenhouse of Ogden and Anthony Klima of Wichita; seven sisters, Marilyn Hair of Uniontown, Pa., Carol Clark of South Carolina, Christine Costa of Stoughton, Mass., Helen Ritten-house of Adah, Pa., Margaret Courser of Dunbar, Pa., Teri Sue Balm of Otho, Iowa and Barbara Clougherty of Youngwood, Pa.; one brother, George Rittenhouse of Hamamaula, Hawaii; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at the Londeen Funeral Chapel, 206 W. Fifth St., Chapman, with Chaplain Nicholas Catrow officiating. Burial will be in Indian Hill Cemetery, 800 W. Fifth St., Chapman, with military color guard and firing squad from Fort Riley. Visitation will be Friday, July 4, 2003, until time of the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chapman Public Library and may be sent in care of Londeen Funeral Chapel, Box 429, Chapman, KS 67431.
