More detail on this person: Gary Garrison Rogers Gary Garrison Rogers Caswell Messenger, The (NC) - Wednesday, March 9, 2011 YANCEYVILLE - Gary Garrison Rogers, 60, of 5370 NC Highway 86 S. died Sunday March 6, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health. He was born September 24, 1950 in Gaston County to the late Pete Garrison and Naomi Braswell Rogers. He was a master carpenter and formally a pilot for Life Flight at Duke Hospital. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and received a Masters Degree from the University of North Carolina of Charlotte. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and loved the outdoors and loved to golf, fish, and hunt. He was a member of Lea Bethel Baptist Church. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lea Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors are wife Louis (Lou) Carter Rogers of the home, daughter Erin Rogers Ghim of Elon, two sons Thomas Garrison Rogers and Daniel Lee Rogers both of the home, one grandson Paxton Ghim, one sister Judy Rogers Medlin of Gastonia, and brother Danny Carol Rogers of Chester, S.C. The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
