More detail on this person: James Eugene Rosensteel James Eugene Rosensteel of St. Charles Funeral services for James Eugene Rosensteel, 57, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Road, Rolling Meadows. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street, St. Charles. Born July 28, 1947, in Bloomington, Ill., to Howard and Eloise Rosensteel, he died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. James graduated from Miami Central High School in Fla., and from Illinois State University. He served as a medivac helicopter pilot in the Army. Mr. Rosensteel was a race boat and auto mechanic, and, for many years, had his own contracting company. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved traveling and was devoted to his family and grandchildren. James is survived by his wife, Joyce; his daughter, Jamie; his son, James Jr. (wife, Lisa); and stepson, Brit Gilman (wife, Renee); three grandchildren, Libby, Moriah and Jordan; his mother, Eloise Rosensteel of Bloomington; his brothers, Bill, Michael, Tim and Steven; and sisters, Nancy and Therese. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard, and his brother, Terry. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Road, Rolling Meadows. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva.
