Maxie was born to Allen & Ethel Anderson Riley on July 6, 1936 in Woodville, Texas. He was a retired U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran with 21 years of service to our beloved country. During his service time he was a pilot and his love for flying only grew stronger, but the best thing that came from his Army experience was meeting and marrying his beautiful wife, Fanny. He loved and adored her. He served as Tyler County Commissioner for Precinct # l for 20 years. He took that job very serious, but never lost sight of what was most important, and that was caring for people. He was compassionate about other people's problems and successes and extremely passionate about his families. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. Maxie never met a stranger and he was loyal, genuine, honest, and a very loving man. He loved his family unconditionally, he loved his friends, he loved life, and everyone in it. His hugs were something that can't be replicated. It wasn't a polite touch and go. It was a come in with both arms wide, wrap them around you and squeeze like he would never let you go. When he finally did let go, he would look you in the eye and say "I Love You". Maxie "Bo" L. Riley will forever be remembered as a "Proud Servant."
