More detail on this person: John P. Silberman,76, of Micanopy, Florida died January 21,2022. John was born on June 15, 1945 to Marvin and Ruth (Voltter) Silberman (deceased) when the family controlled the Consolidate Cigar Company. He graduated from Boston University. He served in the U.S. Army as a combat helicopter pilot in Vietnam. John continued his love of flying during his lifetime. He owned , restored and flew several World War II airplanes. and was the service pilot to Mel Fisher's savage of the Atocha.. He was also an avid HAM (Amateur Radio) operator (KB4CRT).. He loved adventure, animals and collecting ancient electronics. John possessed a sly and delightfully quirky sense of humor. His friends adored him. He is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Silberman ( Izzy Herman), Sister Janet Yaseen (Bruce Kaplan), and cousins, nieces and nephews. His greatest unfulfilled wish is that he will not be able to meet his first born grandchild who is due in March.
