More detail on this person: Richard E. Stanley II, passed away, Monday, November 3, 2014. A true hero: served two tours in Vietnam; survived a heart attack and two bouts with cancer. An incredible pilot who took to the skies with unwavering fear. A lover of books and an avid crossword puzzle solver. A great story and joke teller, someone with whom you could spend hours conversing, not realizing the rapid passing of time. A kind, warm, gentle hearted person who had the ability to turn anyone's day from good to great. But most importantly, a devoted husband to his wife, Tong, of 35 years and a loving father to his three children, Richard E. Stanley III, Scott Stanley, and Erica Stanley. May he be in peace and always remember the ways in which he touched the lives of so many people. Services: Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington VA at late date.
