More detail on this person: Lt. Colonel Joseph A. Sites The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, July 09, 2011 Lt. Colonel Joseph A. Sites passed away July 5, 2011, at his home in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He was born Oct. 15, 1932, in Findley, Ohio, the son of Maurice and Margaret Sites. He served his country proud as a fixed wing and helicopter pilot in the United States Army retiring as a highly decorated Lt. Colonel. He was member of the Moose Lodge 319, a member of the American Legion Post 77 and a member of the Elks Lodge 330. He is survived by his wife Shawnee of 16 years, and his children Stephen, Brenda, Valerie, Doug, Dawn and Joseph II. Survivors also include his sister Darlene; his 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley. Celebration of Joseph's life will be 1 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the Moose Lodge, 6501 E. 6th St, Prescott Valley. Joseph will be interred with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery in November 2011.
