More detail on this person: LTC Clinton Segraves passed away on November 20, 2017 at the age of 71 due to complications following surgery to remove a massive pituitary brain tumor. Clint is survived by his wife and soul mate of 48 years, Cecelia Kirby; his son Christopher and daughter-in-law, Megan; and five grandchildren; Conner, Sarah, Leah, Caleb, and Caden. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Gerald and Gail Segraves, along with their son, David. Clint graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1966. After high school, Clint joined the Mississippi National Guard. He served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam from May 1970 to April 1971 in the 937th Engineer Group as an aviation unit commander. Clint's assignments included serving as Facilities Engineer at Fort Polk, 890th Engineer Company Commander in Picayune, Mississippi, and Chief of Engineering Operations at Fort Hood. Clint retired in 1990 from Army Reserves with 23 years of service. During his service career, Clint received Bronze Star Medal, 28 Air Medals, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf, and the Army Aviator Badge. Clint graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1974. Clint resided with his family for 25 years in Fountain Hills, AZ. Clint's life was his family. He spent his retired life participating in his son's school activities, playing live steam train with his wife and son across the country, and spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
