More detail on this person: Obituary Kenneth Charles Scott, 76, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022. Ken was born February 16, 1946 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Orville Lee and Amelia Scott. His father served as a pilot in the Air Force, so Ken's early years were spent in various locations. The family eventually settled in Cabot where Ken graduated from high school. He served in the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot and was shot down twice. Ken was awarded five Purple Hearts for his service and was subsequently inducted into the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor. After the war, Ken attended Louisiana Tech. After receiving his degree, Ken's career as a pilot spanned fifty years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Richardson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Nichols Scott; his children Kevin Scott (Erin), Kelly Scott (Joanna), and Katie Diggs (Matt); grandchildren Mason Diggs, Dylan Diggs, and Tenley Scott; and great-grandson Liam Cronin. His surviving siblings are Martha Fowler, Trish Caple, Buddy Scott, and Terry Scott. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery will follow the service.
