More detail on this person: SHEPHERD, Col. Stephen Patton, retired U.S Army Reserve, 59, of Lexington, husband of Wanda Bradburn Shepherd, died Saturday February 16, 2008 at his residence. Born in Ashville, NC, he was the son of the late John Patton and Mary Ann Stephen Shepherd. Steve was a graduate of UNC-Ashville. He was a pilot for Air MethodsKentucky Lifenet and a member of the Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary. Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Jesse Patton Shepherd and Bane Stephen Shepherd; seven brothers and sisters, Susan (Mike) Sneeringer, Charles (Susie) Shepherd, John Michael (Pat) Shepherd, Mary Cecil (James) Futrell, Kathrine (Matt) Patterson, David (Danielle) Shepherd and Gerald (Barbara) Shepherd: 12 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 11am Wednsday at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary. Visitation will be from 5-9pm Tues. at Kerr Brothers funeral home-Harrodsburg Road. Burial will be held at a later date in Shepherd Memorial Hendersonville, NC. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington KY 40504 or to a charity of ones choice.
