More detail on this person: Nolan Joseph Scott Nolan Joseph Scott, 57, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2002. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Dubois Scott; one son, Tristan Michael Scott; one daughter, Michelle Marie Scott; three brothers, Sidney Scott, Steven Scott and Kevin Scott; and eight sisters, Cathy Darcey, Janice Voison, Brenda Bryan, Diane Naquin, Maxine Trahan, Bonnie McCarthy, Sylvia Scott and Eleanor Bonilla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Marie Brunet Scott. He was a chief warrant officer in the U.S. Army and served as helicopter pilot for eight years in Vietnam, and served two terms in the reserves as a helicopter instructor. He was a member and past commander of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post No. 9608 and a member of and past commander of the American Legion Post No. 380. He was co-owner of Bayouside Florist and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Samart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
