More detail on this person: Jerry Wayne Simpson, 80, of Corvallis, Montana passed away on January 25, 2019 at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospice Center. He was born on April 20, 1938 in Mansfield, Arkansas to Lester Willard and Noma Virginia Harp Simpson. In 1961 Jerry joined the Army where he served as a helicopter pilot. Following his discharge from active duty in 1965, he joined the Army National Guard serving 25 years retiring at the rank of Colonel in 1993. Jerry married Karolyn Ruth Quast on October 28, 1967 in Mansfield. Jerry is survived by his wife Karolyn; sons, Christopher and Jeffrey, 4 grandchildren and one brother, Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents and son Andrew. Funeral services for Jerry will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Daly-Leach Memorial Chapel at 10:00 A.M. followed by a graveside service at 12 noon at the Corvallis Cemetery where military honors will be provided Jerry signs out with a line from his favorite movie, Flight of the Intruder, when Virgil Cole calls in an air strike on his position, "Alpha Mic Foxtrot."
