More detail on this person: Spencer, Robert N. Age 74 of Plymouth, passed away September 1, 2021. Preceded in death by parents Neville and Darlene Spencer and former wife Sandra Spencer. He will be deeply missed by Karen Swan, sons, Geoffrey Spencer of Albuquerque, NM and Daniel Spencer of Eden Prairie, MN, Joelle (Chad) Swan of Bloomington, MN and Jeff (Gretchen) Swan of Iowa City, Iowa and loving grandchildren Jasmine, Chase, Gavin, Abby, Ethan, Garrett and Elena, sister Sally (Tom) Neckvatal of Tennessee, brothers Jim (Gail) Spencer of California, Randall (Joan) Spencer of Rockford, MN, Kevin (Susan) Spencer of Chaska, MN and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bob was born in Sioux City, Iowa and moved to Minnesota in 1962. Following his graduation from Robbinsdale High School, he proudly served three tours in the US Army as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Bob was a strong and generous man. He shared his wisdom, time and resources with everyone he loved. Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the VA Medical Center and the angels of Accurate Home Care and Intrepid Hospice at Home Care for their tremendous care and compassion for Bob and his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 24th at Spirit of Hope UMC, 7600 Harold Ave., Golden Valley, MN 55427. Visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sunshine Valley Childcare, Spirit of Hope UMC or donor's choice. Published on September 19, 2021
