More detail on this person: Bruce William Shaw Funeral services for Bruce William Shaw, 54, of Holly Pond will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Holly Pond, the Rev. Horace Hall officiating, with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery. Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Shaw died Monday, Dec. 12 at Huntsville Hospital following a motorcycle accident. He was born in Ft. Smith, Va. He was an oil field technician and a member of First Baptist Church of Holly Pond. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He was preceded in death by his father, Rayburn Shaw; and his brother, Ted Lance Shaw. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Bates Shaw; a son, Bruce Shaw II, a daughter, Michelle Shaw Hollingsworth; a son-in-law, Justin Hollingsworth, all of Holly Pond; a sister, Diane Shaw; and two nephews, Ray and Brian Echols. Pallbearers will be Cameron Harbison, Craig Gentry, Donnie Wisener, Ricky Nails and Tim Bates.
