More detail on this person: v\A Celebration of Life for CW4 Bud Sherrill, ARMY (Ret), age 87, of Dickson, TN, will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest alongside his first wife, Sybol Sherrill. Pastors David Mackens and Kenny Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Bud was born in Ravenden Springs, AR, on April 21, 1935, to Leonard and Rena Sherrill. He passed away on August 27, 2022. Bud retired from the United States Army after 26 years of service. After retirement, he was called to the ministry where he served as a Baptist Minister in Montgomery County and Dickson County. He was a former member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and a current member of Sylvia Baptist Church. Bud loved the Lord, spending time with his family, traveling, and watching sports. In addition to his parents and first wife, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, William Klein; brother, Johnnie Sherrill; and step-daughter, Regina Trotter. Bud is survived by his wife of 6 years, Norma Sherrill; son, Mark (Kathy) Sherrill; daughter, Connie Sue Klein; step-son, Scott (Karleen) Hayes; siblings: Gloria Harter, Pete Sherrill, Jeonetta Randolph, and Don Sherrill; grandchildren: Kirby (Benjamin) Barber and Katherine (Christian) Garcia; step-grandchildren: William Klein, Jr., Jacob (Amanda) Klein, Rebekkah (Tommy) Odum, John (Sarah) Klein, Shane (Jill) Gibbs, Adam (Karen) Gibbs, Shelby Gibbs, John Hayes, and Meghan (Enrique) DeJesus; great-grandchildren: Magnolia, Jasper, Mason, Lincoln, Roella, Bennett, Joelle, Madison, Peyton, Ashley (Ben), Lexi (Jared), Grant, Cameron (Dalton), Tyler, Mark (Niki) and Michelle; and great-great grandchildren, Raelyn, Elizabeth, and Kara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sylvia Baptist Church, 1415 Old Sylvia Road, Dickson, TN 37055.
