He was born January 9, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of the late Milton J. and Rosemary Grace (Miller) Schnoebelen. On July 18, 2020, in Sunrise Beach, he was united in marriage to his surviving wife, Deborah Schnoebelen. Mark always believed that service to other people was a duty. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving two tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He served his community as a dedicated postal worker until his retirement in 2014. He was always happiest surrounded by family and friends, good food and wine (or scotch), a cigar in hand, and a story being told. In addition to his wife, Deborah, he is survived by his sons, Mark Schnoebelen, Jr., Louis Schnoebelen and wife Amy of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Jim Schnoebelen and partner Jason of Lawrence, Kansas; step-children, Jan Saferite of Blue Springs, Missouri, Diane Slaughter and husband Stan of Houston, Texas and Matt Dawson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his sister, April Smith and husband Buzz of Overland Park, Kansas, and many other relatives.
