More detail on this person: Maj. Lawrence T. Smith, U.S. Army, Ret., 75, of Enterprise, passed away the evening of Friday, July 30, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Gunther Fritsch officiating. The family's private visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and they will receive friends for visitation at 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow. Burial with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Rozani Navas-Smith, Enterprise; his daughters, Heidi Smith Hoopingarner (Charles Brian Hoopingarner) and Christine (Andrew) Wall, all of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Jerry (Jane) Smith of Evansville, Ind.; and a sister, Kathleen Mills (Peter LoPilato) of Bloomington, Ind. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Eric, Dylan, Finley, Brandon and Violet; a nephew, Benjamin; and niece, Nora.
