More detail on this person: Died in the VA hospital in Meno Park, CA. Tom as a MARCAD, from the fleet. At the time of his commissioning he was one of the youngest officers in the USMC. He flew CH-46s in Vietnam, making several heroic trips into hot zones to rescue downed Marines, then back in to recover the bodies of the aircrews of the helicopters that were shot down going in before him. For this he got a Silver Star. He suffered a head wound in Vienam but never talked about it. He is survived by his wife, Nancy.
