More detail on this person: Leonard G Sims, 63 OBITUARIES Denver Post, The (CO) - Tuesday, May 30, 1995 Leonard G. Sims of Aurora, a helicopter pilot, died May 7 in Aurora. He was 63. A service was May 11 at Fairmount Mortuary. Interment was in Fort Logan National Cemetery. Sims was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Evanston, Wyo. On Dec. 30, 1952, he married Betty M. Kizzire in Casper. Sims served in the Army for 26 years including tours in Korea and Vietnam. He was the chief helicopter pilot for Johns-Manville Corp. for eight years. He was a member of the Army Otter-Caribou Association. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas and David, both of Aurora; his mother, Elna Marie, Laramie; three brothers, Ronald, Laramie, Thomas, Nevada, and Wallace, California; and four grandchildren.
