More detail on this person: Mr Robert M Strickland, 61 Deaths - Through Saturday, Jan. 22 Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - Sunday, January 23, 2005 Robert M. Strickland, 61, of Arlington, retired from the Army and trainer for Follett Higher Education, died Friday at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ellendale United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel has charge. He was a Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Gideons and a volunteer scouter for 30 years. Mr. Strickland, the husband of Linda L. Strickland, also leaves two sons, Robert M. Strickland Jr. of Alexandria, Va., and James D. Strickland of Memphis; his mother, Lenora Strickland, and a brother, James E. Strickland, both of Trout Run, Pa., and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Ellendale United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund or Boy Scouts of America Chickasaw Council.
