More detail on this person: Paul Louis Sambolich DERBY - Paul Louis Sambolich, 73, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Paul was born Nov. 25, 1938 to Peter and Veronica Sambolich in Penn, Pa. He married Donna Shrimplin on May 14, 1976. Paul was an honorably discharged Army Major, serving his country for over 23 years. He also retired from Hughes Aircraft, and enjoyed collecting and repairing vintage wooden radios. He is survived by wife, Donna; son, Thomas (Betsy) Sambolich; mother, Veronica Sambolich; siblings, William (Bonnie) Sambolich, Veronica Marlow, and Michael (Michelle) Sambolich; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, Fla. 32256.
