More detail on this person: Richard Wayne Saunders, 62 Ocala Star-Banner (FL) - Sunday, March 12, 1995 correctional officer OCALA -- Richard Wayne Saunders, 62, a retired Florida correctional officer, died Friday, March 10, 1995 at Sylvia House. A native of South Park, Kansas, he came here from Fort Ord, Cal., 22 years ago. He was a member of VFW Post 4209, Ocala. He served 21 years in the U.S. Army and was a pilot in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Judy A. Saunders, Ocala; two daughters, Danielle L. Saunders and Caprice N. Saunders, both of Ocala; mother, Irene Dinkel, Kansas; two sisters, Irene L. Wiggins, Kansas and Shirley Lute, Ohio; and one grandson.
